Kentalis in the Netherlands

Royal Kentalis is a national organization in the Netherlands, specialized in providing diagnostic, care and education to persons who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or deafblind, and to those who have complex communication needs or a developmental language disorder. 

5000 Staff members work in order to offer those with disabilities in hearing or language access to communication, language, and information.

Kentalis offers care (assessment, therapy, adapted living and work), education and research. Teachers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, sign language specialists and many others work in multidisciplinary teams and together cater for the needs of our pupils. We offer day-care and residential care to children, adolescents and young adults. We support people in finding adequate employment.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the strategy and policy of Kentalis and for the day-to-day management of the organization. The board of directors consists of Oscar Dekker (chairman) and Remmelt Vetkamp.
